In Norse mythology, Sleipnir is an eight-legged horse ridden by Odinn. Sleipnir is attested in the Poetic Edda and is the child of Loki and Svaðilfari and is described as the best of all horses - hence he has eight legs which is the equivalent of two horsepowers.
