The Rune Wolf – SigRun Design

The Rune Wolf

A unique design by Sigrún

During the Viking age, wolves were seen as both being negative and positive amongst the Nordic people. They represented chaos and destruction (e.g. Fenrir, Sköll, and Hati), while on the other hand, they also represented bravery, loyalty, protection, and wisdom – all of whom are symbolised in the Icelandic Mjölnir.

This design of the Rune Wolf embraces the positives of the wolf and incorporates the runes of Þurs which symbolises Protection, Ós which symbolises Wisdom and Maðr (Algiz in the Elder Futhark) which symbolises Loyalty, in the design.
