I am really pleased to say that the 2021 Old Icelandic calendar is now being printed and estimated to be available before the end of this month. Following a consultation with the National Museum of Iceland where some suggestions were made to improve the product, I am excited to say that there is now a 2-year plan to continue to develop this product into something that will hopefully blow your minds.
In the first step, the main changes are that the size has been amended to a wire-bound A4 that folds to A3 on the wall but you can also read the information in it whilst drinking your coffee - without needing 2 tables!
This is not your normal Gregorian calendar. This is the ancient Icelandic calendar for 2021 which has been integrated with the Gregorian calendar for easy understanding.
In this 2021 edition, the photographs take you on a journey to Iceland, Norway and Denmark where landmarks, open-air museums or other settings bring us back to what we imagine the Viking Age in Norden would have been like.
The 2021 edition continues to bring you important dates of celebrations and teaches you how to find your Viking birthday. It also goes extensively into documentations of how blots have been conducted in Iceland.
This year, the first print is limited to 300 copies only! This will only be printed in a higher number should the first batch sell out in 2020.
The product is estimated to be shipped in the first week of November. Shipping is done via International Economy which can take slightly longer than first class.
